E-commerce Sector Overview in HU
This report provides an analysis of e-commerce segment in Hungary. The e-commerce sector can be one of the most important segment in the Hungarian economy, due to its great potential turnover and the possibility of growth. After the general overview about the Hungarian economy, the report provides information on the role of this segment in the EU and in Hungary, as well. This segment is a key part of government policy, so the report aims to give a picture about the political background of this segment and gives statistical information from two aspect: business side and consumer side with charts. It surveys the largest web shops in Hungary – some of them also operationg regionally - (Extreme Digital, Mall.hu, Libri-Shopline, Játéknet) with a short description and it includes a comparison about their turnover, in order to develop a forward looking statement about this important segment within the region’s economy.
